I mean, the intent is all that should really matter. The same logic that allows the cops to legally create or possess drugs and try to sell them could just be used instead to allow them to arrest people buying large amounts what they believe to be real drugs right?
It seems really fucking dumb that a legal scenario exists where the cops can't arrest somebody for trying to buy drugs but they ARE allowed to break dozens of other laws to entrap people. Hmmmmm, like at that point it seems like the intent is to normalize cops possessing fuckloads of drugs and trafficking them around all over the place when the whole bullshit network required to create and traffick real drugs could easily be circumvented like this
