Paul Robeson was his mentor. Was a close personal friend and confidant (and major financial supporter) of MLK. Staunch and serious critic of American imperialism, capitalism and racism. The list goes on and on and on. Add what you can, comrades.

One of the greatest things you’ll ever see is his complete eviscerating criticism of the fraudulent Democratic Party in 2008, right to both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama’s faces:

President Bush "The world's greatest terrorist"

I'll take "Takes that didn't age well for $400". Boy, Bu$hitler is viewed today as a kindly grandfather figure. It's totally forgotten that the whole world totally freaked out about him, especially after 2004 when he was re-elected. An entire genre of literature was born calling him Hitler over and over.

I long time ago, I downloaded Belafonte's entire discography in search of hidden gold. I listened over weeks. I found that there was a bunch of forgettable 60s music for white people along with two worth listening to: Day-o and Jump in the Line, both of which were in Beetlejuice (for white people).
