In this case there was no room. The power of telecommunications technology enabled virtual exchange of information.
This also shows that they 100% buy into their own propaganda and are running almost purely on ideology, with complete disregard for the implications their campaign has for matters of realpolitik that have to do with other things than genociding trans people.
I'm assuming the same holds true for abortion, and most likely other stuff as well.
