Why do people have such a hard on for being space fascists? Star Wars has the most basic good vs evil plot out there but people keep pretending there's some kind of nuance on the team that semi-regularly blows up planets.

we're all just gonna get owned while having struggle sessions over cats in voice chat.

I, for one, am absolutely ecstatic about the idea of losing a ranked match because I got ganked searching out the relevant section of "Robert's rules of order" so we could vote on whether the term squadron leader is problematic.
let's make this a real thing
I'm honestly totally down. Also I just bought Sea of Thieves last night, haven't installed it yet though.
I don't have that one, unfortunately, but I saw another thread on here asking about squadrons sooooo is there a chapochat video game LFG discord or should we make specific squadrons one?
That was probably me lol, I asked about starting a group and someone told me they do indeed have a discord group for it. I'm in a bit of an uncertain position right now trying to get back to work and don't know if my schedule will remain intact but I'd also love to do some piracy with you all. It's on sale right now too for less than $30 on steam.
my schedule is weird af too, so I wouldn't be a regular except late night EST weekdays.
if there's an actual chapchat gaming group that does sea of thieves i might just get it because any game is good with a good group.
"Pigpoopballs 69, standing by."
Imagine the times there are only 4 members online and some poor rando gets dropped into our voice chat.
Then we radicalize them and teach them about how the rebels are an allegory for the NVA.
lol I got banned from the starwars sub for pointing that out at every opportunity. Apparently explaining why america is an evil empire in reference to a lucas quote that says the same thing (shortly before praising soviet artistic freedoms in the same interview) breaks the politics rules.
I fucking hate "no politics" rules so much. EVERYTHING IS POLITICS YOU FUCKING NERDS.
I think we're the nerds for knowing that, but quibbling aside: totally agreed. I am yet to see a forum with a "no politics" rule that doesn't devolve into reactionary nonsense. well, except for like 12 people niche hobby forums. Those generally stay very on topic in regards to the niche hobby....generally.
