Charge the bystanders, charge the murderers family, we can’t do eye for an eye anymore. We need to respond to every attack against Black people with seven times the force.

Curious whether the Daily Mail just had the name because people like this has the name. It's not like it's a particularly high standard of journalism going on over there. UK in general really.

Overall the evidence seems good, and I wouldn't be surprised if press weren't keen to identify them. I'd just be surprised if it was definitely known, feels like some org would've published it already.

If it is him, I think it had to be an effort between the press and the NYPD to try to spin him as righteous and not a murderer. Sadly, I doubt anything will come of this...and we will get some kind of insane law like "you can stand your ground against a moon walk."

I honestly haven't tried to follow this all that closely because of how disturbing it is and I'm just fucking tired of stuff like this happening. But the bits of coverage I have read/watched all talk about how Neely was being "aggressive" with passengers. And of course they've already brought up his criminal record as well. It really wouldn't be all that shocking if this guy got some slap on the wrist punishment, if that.

Aggressive depends on perspective (yelling in desperation about your fucked up situation will read as aggressive to a certain amount of a train car of Amerikkkans), but he certainly wasn't directly threatening anyone, cops made up the only quote to that effect, and yet, the murderer will most certainly not face shit. Because it is, and always has been, legal to murder the black homeless

This is (edit: likely) the former marine/killer that murdered Jordan Neely, the black unhoused man in the NY subway yesterday/day before by strangling him for 15 minutes in front of bystanders and wasn't charged. There is plenty of talk about specifically what happened in other threads that I admittedly have only been able to briefly skim.

Apologies if I misunderstood what you're asking.

So guy gets annoyed by a homeless person and just decides to fucking strangle him. This will be an interesting event to follow

Because it has the potential to set some fucking wild precedent.
