      crypto has been around since 2010. Granted around that time I saw it mostly as passing curiosity. A fad for libertarian cranks and people who wanted to buy drugs on the internet. It wasn't until around 2017 that I learned how the "currency" is "mined" and how detrimental to the environment it is.
