I'm going to bulk buy some healthy protein bars and put them in my backpack so that I can hand them to homeless people when I see them so that they have something nutritious that they know is clean.

It really does make you tear your hair out, because this would at least be a practical liberal response to a guy losing his shit on the subway over being hungry.
"Here, my guy. Have one of my extra protein bars. Your situation sucks, and I feel powerless to alter it, but I can at least take the edge off your acute misery."
Its fucking liberal as fuck, but at least it shows a modicum of human decency. Instead we get this "I don't care if you're starving, I just want to listen to my podcasts" response from a guy who should clearly fucking know better.
