    With a little naivete, sure. He says he's gonna protect the post office and obamacare. Those are both generally popular and help people in their daily lives. He won't actively defend neo-nazis. There. Is that compelling enough reason to vote for him? Probably not to anyone on this site, but it's a straightforward and easy way to advocate for your candidate.

      But loyalty is the point. They don't need to kowtow for our votes, we need to be begging them to make Orange Man stop.

      I think the naivete is both the crux & downfall of the argument though. If they are naive enough to believe it they'd make the argument. The reason they don't is if they put forward specific ways he's better we have 30 years of history demonstrating he's probably not.

      edit: I do not think they allow themselves to be aware of their reasons, I just thought it was interesting to look at.
