I have a steam deck and I want to play this game - but idk if it's even worth it yet
Game is 30fps default with dips down to 20 in certain areas on switch.
I primarily played emulated on Ryujinx where I've had a pretty stable 30fps experience with infrequent crashing. The fix for that particular crashing problem appears to have been rolled out yesterday.
Not sure of its state on Yuzu currently so other people would have to chime in.
The switch is a slightly updated version of a 12 year old console. The CPU runs at 1-1.7 GHZ and it has 4 GB RAM. Most phones are more powerful at this point.
The fact that it runs games at this scale at all is quite impressive.
I have a chinese handheld with similar specs so I'm going to try later this afternoon. Got to work! work! work!
GPD Win 4
wow that looks pretty cool, much like the Switch form factor. i sometimes want a handheld like that or Steam Deck but i totally dont need it.
For what is worth, you probably don't. It was a total indulgence and a lapse of judgement on my part because I saw it for relatively cheap on a facebook group. However if I pirate 14 switch games, I may be getting my money's worth.
ryujinx runs it pretty flawlessly, i have a graphical glitch with shadows but it's been pretty smooth performance with a crash like once every two hours that is easily mitigated by the game's generous autosave feature
Check out /r/NewYuzuPiracy, there are tips for getting it running well even on Steam Deck.
I have heard rumors that despicable pirate scum have been enjoying their unjustly pilfered loot on Gaben's outrageous crime box, yes.
