Pascal's wager was also for nerds. People were making fun of him for being a silly ass at the time, which really raised my conifdence in humanity when I found it out.
oh that's good to learn. I was under the impression that it was well received cause my philosophy professor talked it up as a big deal. he had some weird views on morality and religion though so it's not terribly surprising that he'd leave out that it was kind of a joke.
