You could write an entire essay about how this show intentionally and very loudly ignores the structures of power to instead focus on the idea of individual actors being behind evil. The show is a literal PowerPoint presentation explaining how the reactionary state subsumes and redirects anything that internally challenges it.

    The Halo franchise flip-flopped between the UNSC is whack imperialist authoritarian surveillance state and UNSC is goodguy america ww2 allies in space, and sadly libs that go on to produce the television adaptations of it would never go for the first interpretation, since its too close to home.

      It had such a banger start since it focuses on the human rebellion on Madrigal and comes real close to making a point about the imperialism of the UNSC, then just drops it completely
