    Can I sue the government for promissory estoppel? What if I had a legitimate reason to believe I would not have to pay interest on my loans and can prove that reasonable assumption lead me to financial loss?

      I think this actually passing would invite lawsuits under this and various other theories, but the 0% chance of it passing means they didn’t really have to consider that. It’s a dumb stunt by and for dumb people. Par for the course, more or less.
