    Christmas is on the 25th of December and is similar to what Americans know. You're thinking of Sinterklaas, which is on the 5th of December.

        Depends. The reformed Christians, our evangelicals so to speak, may skip it entirely. Muslims may skip both.

        But generally it's up to the individuals for what they do for Christmas, and Sinterklaas is only celebrated if you have kids. Adults don't bother with it.
