    Tangential but it’s always so interesting to see the GOP as basically being pro-single-party-rule because that’s how they know they can accomplish their agenda but that means that bourgeois democracy is a sham

    so Democrats have to reestablish and relegitimize that particular version of democracy when they come back to power.

      Ask libs if they think we'd be better off with all three branches in Democrat's hands. The vast majority will say "yeah, of course." Then ask them how that's difterent from a one-party state.

      If they whine, ask them if they think California or wherever should voluntarily turn over a branch of government to the GOP.

        I had a convo one time with the hypothetical of "what would you change about the US government if you were king for a day?" The person who posed the hypothetical suggested making things equally bipartisan everywhere :pete::brainworms:
