I'd argue it's the height of some kind of thing that anyone wouldn't be interested in finding people. There aren't a lot of places life of any kind can survive, let alone places with people.

then again its hard to even speculate what aliens would be like, since they'd have the tech to alter their own brains, and the more they altered them the more their priorities would shift, changing the course of subsequent alterations, so they might end up super weird and unlike how they started
