      Qatar has literally zero trees. i'm not sure what you think would grow there, plus the cost and maintenance of water to keep it alive.

          the biggest fuckup is they don't power that country by the sun, it's almost all natural gas. but im sure it's dirt cheap or something.

            Pfft what do you mean? Oman has at least one site that uses solar thermal enhanced oil recovery. Solar energy produced emissionless steam that is used to extract oil. Very green!
