What kind of music does your band play?

Edit: on second thought you can just shoot me the link if you want

Damn that's some good doom. How is the Chicago doom scene anyways? The San Jose one kinda sucked by the time I was there, too techified.

Oh god don't get me fucking started. We have some good bands, but as a performer, it's super incestuous and I fucking hate it. I quite giving a shit about scenes by the time I was 21 (over a decade ago). Now I just play shows for myself.

I actually got myself into a spot of trouble not too long ago for expressing this opinion about an Illinois doom fest that some people I know are booking.

Yup, sounds like most scenes. I think my favorite scene was the Vacaville/North Berkeley scene in like 2012-2014. Just alot of poor older highschool and community college music kids fucking around with shoegaze and indie pop, no real pretentions involved cause all the pretentious kids played at the Gilman. Was a cool scene to play in, no idea what happened after I moved.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind for Chicago though, maybe make a trip there in a year or two. Try not to get yourself kicked out of the scene by then lol.

Yeah, definitely come on up here! THere's a good number of Hexbears here!

That scene sounds awesome. Glad you got to experience that!

I've seen more. ALso, while I do like an Orange, I prefer Matamp (they used to be the ones who built the original Oranges. They're still their own thing now, still in business, but much smaller).

Look up the now defunct band Beast in the Field. I can't find it now, but there used to be a picture of their guitarist standing outside with about....20 cabs I'd guess? Never counted.
