I'm pretty familiar with Lenin, and I've read some Trotsky (I know I know), but I'm unfamiliar with any good theory after them. Since electoral politics is officially dead, what are some good books on modern ML theory?

Black Shirts and Reds by Parenti is a good intro from a contemporary author. I dunno if it's quite "theory" but you can glean what the theory is like from it. That said I haven't read it yet, I decided to go off the deep end and just struggle through the ML reading list.

You could read some stuff by the black panther leaders or Mao, stretching the definition of modern a bit there though. Sankara was an ML too.

The global bourgeoisie killed anyone that could’ve written modern theory 😔
