I for one take a deep long breath through my nose then exhale in the most pressurized raspy manner without vocalizing it.

I sound like a hissing snake crossed with a non-whistling kettle of boiling water

      I've on occasions pantomined screaming in absolute pain and agony but made no noise, but those are usually for glancing blows to the toes
