Based on similar conversations I've seen about this the line thinking is that Reddit draws a masc demographic which leads to more of a prominent transfem community since we don't usually just leave when we realize we aren't men. This is apparently inverted on a site like tumblr which draws a fem audience and has a more prominent trans masc community as a result.
Hexbear is just better reddit so the demographics would still hold.
That's interesting. I assumed it was something to do with socialization as one's AGAB, since the usership is mostly young-ish so that would still have an outsized impact.
I've always had a deep appreciation for funny assholes that has not always led me in the best direction, but has probably contributed greatly to me sticking around this site and cth.

Yup that's my reasoning too. The audience stays the same, only the genders change.
