Not even from a sus Russian state media source lol. Gotta love how liberals have lost their minds over the last year and a half (and probably a few years more tbh)

But then again, when electing a retired NATO Army general to power, I suspected similar stuff might become de-tabooified.

for the record there has been a major clamp down on any socialist rhetoric lately in czechia. some guys got arrested for calling the katyn massacre a joke on public radio, saying that the only people that died were pogromist polish military, and potentially due to fighting with nazi germans. this was from a PhD in history that actually investigated the site of the massacre. potential sentence is 8 months to 5 years of probation (e.g. not being able to speak publicly on politics or similar issues), potentially house arrest and prison.

imo the colonial masters are tightening their reins.

saying that the only people that died were pogromist polish military

I'd be very interested in reading their justification for this assessment of it.

Have there been moves to ban the KSCM yet? They're probably not really a good party, but that was one of my personal predictions of possible repression when I heard who Petr Pavel was

nah i love the KSCM, at least the local cadres are baller. im not a huge fan of konecna, shes basically white czech AOC, though it seems she has gotten a little better over time. my local guy for the KSCM led the push for LGBT rights in the federal government, which of course failed because of liberals

and yes there are some weirdos that put forward a bill to ban the KSCM each year yet it hasnt happened yet

Pavel noted that in World War II, Japanese descendants living in the United States were under "a strict monitoring regime as well." RFE/RL has reached out to Pavel's office for a clarification of what such a "strict monitoring regime" would look like.

    LMAO

I like to imagine he got an email from RFL and thought “what the hell, I thought you people invented this shit? Why are you asking ME for clarification?”

You don’t have to add a comment. Pavel himself said the program needs to imitate the Japanese internment camps :lenin-confused:

You're trusting that a redditor Ukraine lib will actually read the article?

I didn't intend it this way but it's actually a great gotcha if he goes "nuh uh it just says monitoring"
