I just don’t understand for the life of me who needs their food delivered. This may be a bad take but if you can order food you can pick it up. disability is obviously a legitimate reason, but outside of that I would say in general if you can order you can pick it up. I don’t know why we need food runners in this age. Especially when the food is on average some soulless MEGACORP chain eatery. We don’t need rent-a-shoppers.
Of course this doesn’t mean don’t be nice or don’t give 5-stars but stop using these apps man. It’s like tipping, while I hate tipping I do it anyways cause that what they need to live cause they job ain’t paying them what they should. but I also don’t go out to eat anymore.
i've done it when I was sick before, or a few times when I had a friend over and we were playing a game or something. One time I did it in a fit of depression and got a bunch of boba tea and snacks.
I imagine people who work from home probably get delivery a lot, or alcoholics. Disabled people are probably pretty common too
yeah it's never been worth the cost, and I've always tipped like $10 because I felt bad about it. $50 to get mcdonalds delivered? How stoned do you have to be?
I sometimes get food delivered at work if I forgot to bring some that day. Can't just shut the store and drive around, gotta get someone else to bring it to me. Sometimes I get food delivered at home because we're three people with two cars, so sometimes I just don't have a car. Back in my university days I got food delivered because the city I lived in was awful for parking, if I hopped in my car and went to pick up food, I'd spend 30 minutes trying to find a parking spot, and then 15 minutes walking home because I couldn't find one close to my home anyway. It's not an option I use a lot, but I love that it exists.
I currently live practically next door to a Greek restaurant, a Turkish restaurant and an Italian restaurant, so I haven't gotten anything delivered here since I moved here. I can just walk.

I don’t own a car and I want food for myself and others at home from a place outside of a walking distance.

Stoners. Stoners do it. The rich ones anyway

More like how rich… or how financially irresponsible
