I'm blown away from the disconnect of someone who they claim is important having died and people drinking wine on msnbc like they didn't realize when it happened in movies it was always at the expense of the wino that couldn't process anything so they flooded their stomachs with shit wine instead of properly coping.

how the fuck did these people ever get close to a lever of power? it seems none of them take the responsibility of being a living, breathing person with any actual seriousness.

Like, i question how important they all claim it to be, like they've never had anyone in authority tell them that life is never like how we depict on tv shows, movies, and books. These people are so disconnected.

People can't deal with the fact that you can manifest your will into this world when enough people jack off to a single idea. There is no overarching narrative that resembles any of their beliefs and it scares the shit out of them. Their heroes don't survive on the fact that they're righteous or die to make a great sacrifice. They just shit themselves and go away. At that point, what can you do other than pretend you're the relatable protagonist at the beginning of the third act and emulate all your favorite stories?

Tbh as a kid I always read those scenes as "someone's dead? Oh cool, now I can get fucked up, that seems like a good way to make this day suck less."

Considering California is the media cultural center for america, some dumb writer probably modeled it after the trophy wife he hates who’s constantly in a haze powered by white zin and valium and has no idea how a healthy relationship looks like let alone write one up
