      Articles paywalled but I’m really curious if they do any investigation into what percentage of affirmative action admissions are actually americans and not international students. I’ve heard that as a damning critique of AA from other leftists that because the rules are purely race based schools have been using it to target wealthy immigrant students rather than actually letting in the institutionally disenfranchised black americans it’s meant to help

        “ International students and students with unknown race/ethnicity in the data are not included in totals." and i agree AA needs to be fixed but it undoubtedly benefited black students. the the university of michigan black admissions were nearly halved when affirmative action was removed
