Scientists in Beijing have developed a new gene therapy which can reverse some of the effects of ageing in mice and extend their lifespans, findings which may one day contribute to similar treatment for humans.
Since this has been a hotly debated topic around these parts
maybe i'm being too much of a doomer but my first thought is please don't fall for pop science slop that oversells findings from a single animal study because it's from a chinese lab...
when they say "gene therapy which could delay ageing" they mean "scientists fiddled with genetically modified clones of mice until they found changes in a handful of outcome variables they handpicked, might be useful in 25 years".
