It's pretty funny because for the most part we get on, and he's one of those anti-establishment conservative types. We can have a political conversation and agree with each other about absolutely everything (the common man gets screwed by big corporations etc etc) until the second we start talking about who we think is responsible, or who the "bad guy" is because I'm all "It's fucking Jeff Bezos and the billionaires obviously" and he starts ranting about the World Economic Forum and Bilberburgs and "THE GLOBAL CENTRAL BANK!!!!!1", oh and the fucking second that China gets brought up it activates the reactionary in him Manchurian Candidate style.

But we can also talk about plants because we both like to grow shit, so that's nice neutral territory (for the most part as long as I don't bring up Miracle Grow LMAO).

    Broken clocks and all that but while his line of reasoning to get there is mostly batshit, he's not wrong

    Miracle Grow was always just the consumer side of Monsanto (now owned by Bayer)

    I won't claim that all of their products will give you cancer or some shit, I don't fucking know but I sure as hell don't trust anything from the makers of glyphosate

      Miracle grow fert will eventually lead to salt build up in your soil so it does eventually kill the soil. That's any petro derived fertilizer though

        It also has copper sulfate in it, which is a bactericide, fungicide, and algaecide, meaning it kills beneficial organisms in your soil.

        Also, in higher concentrations it's used as a root killer, so... It is actually possible to kill your plants with miracle gro
