I know a lot of this money just gets siphoned off into green tech firms anyway, but something that I'm actually proud of Britain for is how we've gotten rid of coal and opened up all sorts of windfarms and dams. 40% renewable energy for a nation is no mean feat.
Now we're going to go backwards. And the money won't even go somewhere else useful. It'll get scraped by Tory organisations and schemes like sending immigrants to Rwanda. NHS and education won't see a scrap of it.
Worse than that, they're actually exactly as profitable if not more so to private companies. Because of the profoundly stupid and corrupt way we set and regulate energy prices, consumer prices are set by the most expensive energy sources.
