It used to be impossible to criticize Seinfeld online without getting shouted at about how the show isn't funny anymore but is totally the basis of so many other shows that came after it (that in general to me aren't funny now, either).

I hated Seinfeld when it was new and learning that Seinfeld himself was a big time case was weirdly vindicating for me regarding that arrogant asshole.
