    I regret to inform some of you that some beer isn't vegan, although most of it is.

    Animal gelatins are sometimes used for filtration. So is isinglass, which is used to filter yeast out of the suspension. Isinglass is made from fish bones.

    Most widespread beers are vegan though. Budweiser is vegan for instance. Guiness was in the news a few years ago because they switched from isinglass finings to centrifuges.

      Another good tip: if it's unfiltered it's more likely to be vegan! Keep drinking your hazy IPA treats, vegan DSA Karens!

      A few have lactose sugar in them as well. Milk stouts and milkshake IPAs are the most common.
