Most of the time capeshit looks awful in live-action so I think focussing on animation is a great decision

Contrast the reception of Flash vs the animated Spider man. Flash looks ugly as hell!

Then again, all of the cartoons for DC are great, but all of the movies for DC are awful, so maybe an anime is the way to go.
