So why are these shows always like 20 years behind when it comes to gaming?
They always show some made up modern game that's sweeping the nation, and it looks like MGS1 and is clearly a railshooter, but apparentely it's a 4x with rpg elements or whatever. Are the writers just completely out of touch? Like you'd think someone during the process would show candy crush or something to them.

The CGI team for tv shows are paid peanuts and are told "make visuals for a fake videogame that we'll display for 5 seconds".
