Jesus fucking christ. If they wanted to cut costs why didn't they just use normal fucking wipers? Like anyone would have actually cared if the thing just had normal wipers.
It reminds me of how normal silly sports cars just use parts bin items for stuff like this - the McLaren F1 uses the tail lights from a Bova Futura bus for fuck’s sake:
