    If we tried to "retvrn" and these buildings became the trend in north America they would probably be 3d printed out of plastics and melt like candles in a 50 degree heat wave.

    Also the cost to do it properly would probably be substantially more than what it would otherwise take to build conventionally (and require reviving a niche discipline of masonry) which is the real reason this would never happen.

      Yep to make this possible again you need to pay masons for their work. Alternatively, you could mass-produce the "greebles" (word for those detailed bits of architecture) which was actually done when this style was popular. DoNotEat posted about this on Twitter once.
