Italians are so cucked by the ruling class that they can't enjoy a combination of sweet and salty and acidic flavors. It's definitely an acquired taste. And yet we don't see struggle sessions about anchovies, which can go from "hey, not bad" to "oh my fucking god, everything in this room stinks of rotten fish" with less than a minute's worth of (over-)cooking time.
