My sobriety coach recently suggested I try out SMART Recovery meetings opposed to AA. Apparently it's AA without all the religious stuff, which seems like it'd fit me better. I'm still just so scared to do a meeting, even if it is just a zoom call. Curious what you guys think?

I haven't attended a meeting yet (even though I really should), but a number of people I trust have recommended it.

went to my first SMART, wasn't terrible. The format is pretty nice.

One thing I do notice is that a lot of people that attend are struggling with behavioral addictions, but there are quite a few alcoholics. Not much hard drugs (my particular issue), though there were a few.
