Never underestimate liberals' ability to throw an absolute fit when attacked from the left. They are desperate to think of themselves as, "as progressive as it gets" and will actively seek out any excuse, including making things up, for why the person telling them capitalism is bad is actually a very problematic individual/organization and are basically the same as Nazis if you really (don't) think about it.
Seen this play out so many times irl, lol. You can't do shit with liberals because once you oppose something they identify with (e.g. a war crimes supporting politician) they will take it very personally.
But... but... Nazis called their party "National Socialists" and as everyone knows, they were completely trustworthy, never disgustingly distorted facts in any way, and got along all hunky dory with Marxists domestic and abroad!
Their brains are locked into a pattern, like a tiny model train making the rounds. 99% of the time in their lives, they have punched right (capitalist hellhole denizens), so they want a way to get back on that track. It's yearning for a little choo choo that says, "red faah tankie".
I'm new here so not privy to any secret plans that may exist. but it isn't clear to me they are being "attacked" from anywhere. They are just having an uneasy feeling is all. ??
