Is it advisable for one who is not an expert on economic and social issues to express views on the subject of socialism? I believe for a number of reasons that it is.

As true now as it was then.

    I love that the first sentence is literally "Before you fucking nerds say it, yeah I know I'm not an 'economist' and that doesn't matter now shut up and listen"

      Then he just lays down straight facts. He's everyone's quintessential genius yet they never seem to mention his political views.

        Yeah it's a great essay that I tend to bring up to libs IRL any time I hear his name mentioned.

          I knew he was a socialist but I'd never read this before. I was just amazed how it hit so close to home. This could be written today and it's still relevant.

            Asimov was another cool ass socialist genius. In fact the entire Foundation series revolves around a sci-fi version of historical materialism and how empires cannot sustain themselves.
