i can see it both ways I guess. Power outages here mean you can stop working. They temporarily pause the rat race, make people more vulnerable and trusting. Makes people temporarily less into capitalist subjects and more helpful towards one another.

And this is predicated on the idea that power will return shortly. I can't imagine power outages happening frequently with no idea when they'll come back on. Also, losing power at a hospital sucks
Honestly power outages are cool vibes, at least when you can hang out with someone.
Only first world people would even dream of saying something like this.
