I haven't gotten far enough into the game to see if genitals make an appearance again, and any clothes you wear seem to override the existence of genitals, so it may have been a marketing thing like Cyberpunk did.
The player's genitals were never actually visible anywhere in the game proper, only in the character screen. Even screenshot mode forced underwear on unless you modded it.

Cyberpunk had like fully animated sex scenes though, maybe a marketing gimmick but definitely used.
