The article makes allusions to the Chinese government funding these programs, but makes no effort to back them up. And obviously, US billionaires and the US State Department funding hard rightwing causes are never an issue.

You have to understand that despite saying he doesn't work with the Chinese government, his Shanghai office shares space and staff with another company. Such a contradiction! I'm a journalist!

On the surface, No Cold War is a loose collective run mostly by American and British activists who say the West’s rhetoric against China has distracted from issues like climate change and racial injustice.

In fact, a New York Times investigation found, it is part of a lavishly funded influence campaign that defends China and pushes its propaganda. At the center is a charismatic American millionaire, Neville Roy Singham, who is known as a socialist benefactor of far-left causes.

What is less known, and is hidden amid a tangle of nonprofit groups and shell companies, is that Mr. Singham works closely with the Chinese government media machine and is financing its propaganda worldwide.

I'm once again making this dumb obvious prediction but we are this close to climate change denialism becoming extremely mainstream and it will be parroted by both sides, CC will become merely a plot by "Chinese influneced" far leftist extremists to weaken the US. The only appropriate response is investment in current carbon based energy and obviously war against China.

The handful of climate aware libs out there will be happy to get a tax incentive to buy a fucking Tesla as they claim victory. Maybe AOC or some other dipshit will campaign in 2032 over building some solar panels on your roof lol. Literaly nothing will ever change.

    We are truly fucked.
