the only way to technically get off one is to do an internal lateral move, that's how I escaped mine.
went from admin to a phone pig and impressed in my first month, because of the change of reporting command I got it closed

but yeah, this is a fuckin regular corporate move to get back at you for taking mental health leave and i've seen it happen multiple times to others. only real option is to move sideways or out

My dumbass hotel manager printed the forms out to my front desk printer, so I absolutely knew what was about to happen and just walked out.

If your workplace has PIPs, you should be considering moving. I've only ever heard of them existing at the worst techbro workplaces, and I've never heard of one being used non-abusively.

After I applied for paternity leave I got told my contract would not be renewed and then shortly after that my leave was being rejected because my non-renewal makes me ineligible.

I spoke to a lawyer and very quickly my leave was suddenly approved.

Fuck these guys, apply for unfair dismissal, get back on mental health leave, whatever you have available to you.
