In Puerto Rico, they were gonna make it so all males were automatically signed up for the draft when we got our drivers' licenses. Thankfully it didn't go through, but that was mostly because people started paying attention around that moment, only shortly before we protested our governor out of office.

I absolutely will block them immediately. It's all fucking gross to me- more worried about nice but apolitical classmates tbh. Yeah just complete bs- as usual. Appreciate the advice tho

I'm in my early 30s and still get calls, texts, emails, and letters from recruiters regularly. It doesn't help that my step dad periodically sent my personal info to recruiters for over a decade so I'd "make something with my life."

I’m by no means an expert, but reading this memo from the Department of Education, it looks like they basically treat the military like a college, in the sense that you can opt out of both college and military recruitment, or opt out of neither.

Reading that memo made me more pissed than I’ve been in quite a while, all this shit that gets crammed into bills. Like, I understand that “pork” in bills has been a thing for forever but it was one of those lucid moments where I understood how absolutely irredeemable the US state is, when these are its methods of operation; who the fuck knows what’s in bills or how to run the govt without shit like this slipping in? I understand that nobody in power is particularly bothered by the military or imperialism, but just the general idea that you can’t pass bills without all sorts of stupid shit slipping in.

Getting real blackpilled on voting, shithole country

And I see the minor student cannot refuse this. Only the parent. But the contact is allowed started at 16.

Like one of those dystopian situations where the state law has the age of consent for sex at 16, but the age to consent to abortion is 18 below which you need a parent's consent or court order.

To be fair, I had mandatory military service and it was fine. I watched a couple of guys get beat up, some were stripped naked and made to lie in the snow, broken bones and such, but overall fun experience. Builds character and the weak offed themselves

It's one thing if your nation's military is mostly about civil service, but the US military is the imperial core.

To be fair, it is not about civil service here. During my time there, I watched a politician fuck a prostitute, argued with a Chinese dude that he couldn't take my sandals, and jerked off at a WW2 concentration camp.
