Anyone played the game yet?

If so, how is it?

I've played it, I would recommend it if you're into fantasy settings, RPGs, turn based combat etc.

I'm still in Act 1 talking to all the animals

      Nice!

Yeah, I might bite the bullet and get it anyway despite having another game to finish.

I fucking love this game. About 6 hours in and already trying it on with Gale, my Paladin is kicking ass and taking names with a fat flaming sword I stole from the devil at the start. Gonna multi class into sorcerer so I can slap people with even more smites than usual.

Its really interactive, and very reactive. The fights require like planning and strategizing, like I just rescued the sexy druid and I had to hide and use the environment to get a advantage. The environment is soo pretty and immersive. Imagine like a dragon age/fallout in that kinda style, it would be incredible.

got a game over because someone wished me dead after i insulted them twice, so that was great ooooooooooooooh

Is there a substantial difference between early access and release versions? I assumed that early access was basically the same as the final release except that the release had fixes/patches applied to it iteratively.

I'm enjoying it so far, the thing for me is I avoided it while it was in early access so I was going in blind.

    cw: eye stuff

    spoiler

I wish the game itself had a strong content warning for the eye shit. I looked away for a large portion of the opening cutscene and I still get a bit queezy whenever the characters talk about the 'thing' wriggling around in their head. It's a real stain on a game that is aiming to be very progressive in other ways. Which makes me quite sad. HOW DID NO ONE FIGURE THIS OUT WHILE IT WAS IN EA?

Major problem is still embedded in the game.

If a friend joins you on splitscreen, they create a permanent party member that can not be removed and prevents you from adding a companion to that slot.

If 3 people join your game, you are permanently locked out of using companions.

Loving it so far, it's a little buggy on my below spec PC but still playable just with weird graphical glitches sometimes (people moving without any animations, cutscenes where my character is doing A-pose the entire time).

Playing as a wizard, flaming sphere is as hilarious as it is useful. I convinced someone to eat their friends. I watched them do it then killed them afterwards when they were good and weak. I then robbed them all. I did it all while naked since AC 10 clothes do not add to AC. Also murdered Gale and Rogue-guy because I didn't like their vibe.

10/10 experience so far, still on act 1.

A Steam Deck does the job when playing games on good settings and, plus, they're also cheaper than a "gaming laptop" or gaming PC.
