Was just listening to Mike Duncan's series on the Haitian revolution. I like that he took a moment to point out that basically a bunch of rich, privileged bourgeois folks in the English, French, and American revolutions would go on and on about "slavery", and yet in Haiti we get a revolution of actual slaves.
And of course the American and French "revolutionaries" by and large condemned the Haitian revolution.
