There was only one thing I missed about the old CTH subreddit, and that was that we would occasionally get a lost lib that would stumble in and start calling us Putin lovers or some shit. It was always really funny watching them expect to bring the reddit debate shit in only to be completely not be taken seriously at all.

Well, they're back baby!

the lamey.world "pre-emptive/last resort" defederation drama has been the funniest thing imo. i imagined federation with such a big-tent LIB instance would involve wreckers and some crafted-over-time pre-text for shutting us out.

instead, they push the button before we even connect, call out our mod message of "be polite in other instances" and "NATO is shitty, actually", creating a struggle session amongst their own users, locking their own post, and banning complainers as hex-alts like some Q-brain trying to huff the Smell of Freedom while standing in the Cavortex.

their deranged leadership outed their instance as the vanity project of some reactionary autocratic westoid chauvinist. straight up own-goal from midfield.

I like how they believe that the only way a dissenting opinion can exist, is if the person was paid for it, because they're so used to a political system where opinions being bought is the norm. think-about-it

To be serious; I think you're right Dirt_Owl, the missing ingredient from the old sub is the happenstance of libs. Up until now we've had like... haters show up, but we finally get the stray clueless wandering through we've been missing.

The "... hope you were paid well" got me too. Calling us Russian bots and everything lmao. These people actually exist susie-laugh

What's next, a Xi Winnie the Pooh and social credit joke? Calling Trump Drumf and Putin Putler? Why do these guys think getting names wrong is some kind of own?

They operate under the idea that Putin and Xi care about what Americans (and it's almost always Americans) think about them

Buddy, I got news for you, they don't give a shit if you make fun of them

It's futile, like an ant trying to bite the sun

at the end of the day is is a sick expresion of narcissm , the whole logic , stemps from the point that "they" can not be Wrong about something.

Thats also why they imagine all the "Badies" leading Bot armies against their Belives , because "they" is just that important !

The truth - that we are wasting our finite time on Earth arguing with clueless assholes of our own volition - is of course much sadder

          I don't argue with people

I say weird shit or insult them and then ignore them

If they want to think I care about them, that's a personal choice

I've read the !chat@hexbear.net post about the "Ukrainian Nazis" statement in source code, and I have to hand it to you guys. You are better at engaging stray libs than us, fucker was swarmed with genuine replies and the occasional ppb.

It's a rhetorical technique known as the PPB sandwich. Bait them with productive counterpoints, hit them with the ppb, then soften the exit with further civil discussion.

Soon enough we will be seeing it within single replies.

And then, if they pull some classic, 'Oh I just wanted to help you, but clearly you are too far gone' you really barbeque them, because it's funny.

I propose a flat system of unbanning liberals if they publicly post this:

the maoist uprising against the landlords was the largest and most comprehensive proletarian revolution in history, and led to almost totally-equal redistribution of land among the peasantry.

There should be a megathread for bans appealed through this process.

I'm envisioning one of those timed work compliance training videos where they have to spend on hour being deprogrammed without clicking away from the training window.
