    I have a few more:

Mordecai's Madness (original actor quits, producers decide to go with a dark and gritty tone to differentiate from earlier films, new actor is a guy with 1/10'th the charisma, bombs horribly, series is finished for years)

Mordecai (2010s attempt at a franchise revival, trendy actor in the lead role, updates the style and tone of the first few movies for the young millennial audience while still trying to be faithful to the core concept, single scene of Mordecai at the beach as a wink to the audience, original actor appears in a cameo role that everyone loves, mostly well-received and makes money, hardcore fans divided)

Mordecai: New Dawn (Sequel to the revival, makes money back but somewhat underperforms expectations, script went through too many revisions with takes from different screenwriters, leaving the story feeling a bit confused and bloated, probably a half hour too long)

Mordecai's Adventures (Hulu original series, whole new cast, beloved side character Sparks re-imagined as a woman, seriously dividing the fanbase with some saying the show is ruined by wokeness while others say the Mordecai movies were always woke, series lasts for three seasons before being abruptly cancelled and buried by the algorithm)

Third Mordecai reboot movie? (occasional articles about people trying to get it made but it never seems to materialize)

Aww, the Mordecai series really fell off. Whe will they make another like Mordecai at the Beach?

The Hulu series had beach episodes that are generally received very well. But the future of the franchise is in doubt.

They're so stupid. The Mordecai movies were always progressive. Mordecai Goes To The Beach was really ahead of its time on its portrayal of gay characters.
