    The fuck is their 800 number is for? I do like the idea of some kid who took the job months ago taking calls for donations(?) and then one afternoon is appalled to learn about how their innocuous sounding employer is trying to do christo-fascism Handmaid's Tale IRL because some lib called and yelled at them. More likely they just didn't want to get dinged on the post call survey so feigned ignorance though.

      Donation, Membership, Feedback, and Mail Related Inquiries

      Non-profit orgs will run contact centers (or contract them out) to manage donations and memberships. The people working their phones and emails probably don't give a fuck and are waiting until they get their scheduled break to get off the phone.

      My wild assumption is nearly every single person who works for the foundation knows why it exists, what it stands for, and what it does. And libs calling up and lecturing the phone guy won't give them a come to Jesus moment. It'll just make the phone guy hate "the left" even more.

        I kind of doubt the kid answering the phones even works directly for the Heritage Foundation. More than likely it's a call center with staff that's fed scripts for various organizations. I doubt the call center workers have ever even met someone from the Heritage Foundation.
