FF9 may have the hardest side quest of the Final Fantasy series. Steiner's ultimate weapon, Excalibur 2, is incredibly difficult to obtain without a guide, and maybe impossible. The player must reach the end of FF9's final dungeon, Memoria, in under 12 hours in order to receive it.

One of Square Enix’s masterpiece JRPGs for the PS1, Final Fantasy 9 was guided by the genius Hironobu Sakaguchi, while Tetsuya Nomura focused more on Kingdom Hearts. With classic video game music by Nobuo Uematsu, this PS1 game is one of the greatest games ever made.

I've done nearly everything else in this game throughout the times I've played it but this. Speed running a Final Fantasy game just doesn't seem too fun to me

Yeah, what's the point of a turn-based battle system if you have to rush?

Though I never bother with the card game in FFIX either. Even in FFVIII, it was just for the items.

Tetra Master is cool, it's like a more fleshed out version of Triple Triad from VIII, which in itself was fun and useful for the game breaking items.
