    I think they should actually make this legal and outlaw traditional lobbying. If you want to take money in exchange for political influence it needs to be solid bars of precious metal or tan bags stuffed with cash and marked with a dollar sign

      Good news! Recent supreme court decision basically does this.

      • City mayor awarded $1mil contract to garbage collection company
      • then he walked into office said "I need money" they wrote a check for $13k
      • FBI: "why did they do that?"
      • Mayor: "consulting services" (no further details ever provided)
      • company owner: "an inside track on the contract"

      Verdict: INNOCENT
