There’s a good gay joke in there somewhere, but I’m not sure it would sound right.

Edit: I specifically changed it from “come out right” to “sound right” to avoid an unintentional pun, but I just remembered sounding exists.

the remember back when all the libs were conspicuously reading his book to present themselves as Appalachian whisperers. having recently done a bit of work in the deep mountain communities myself, I hated that fucker and delighted in the trillbilly episode focused on skewering him.

anyway, in those days I was still on the apps and matched with some LIB and we were talking about books and they bragged about reading that. so I just blurted out JD VANCE is a SNITCH! and sent a link to the pod ep.

I think they blocked me a few mins later. or maybe it was the other way around. anyway, that guy sucks and it blows my mind that anyone then or now can't see what a total bullshitting and craven opportunist he is.

First Democrats fell for his bullshit because he was Never Trump and gave them a narrative for why Trump was popular in Appalachia (the people are poor, stupid, lazy white welfare queens)

Now Republicans are falling over themselves to pretend he will help them with the Midwest and working class cause of his book (that they didn’t read) because he’s Trump’s VP pick. They are making excuses for the book the Liberal MSM used to shit on them, and saying it contains the opposite of what it does

Perfect encapsulation of the stupidity of American politics. Both sides are wrong and incoherent for opposite reasons

well he started as the "great mind/author", the Yale Law school graduate who grew up in the flattest part of Ohio, half an hour's drive from downtown Cincinnati in rush hour traffic who ruminated on rural, impoverished mountain life from a venture capitalist chair in San Francisco which is when he farted out that trash to cash in on passing off his bigotry as philosophy.

the NYT and WaPo ate it up, because they wouldn't know an authentic rural voice if it seized their printing press and carpet bombed Storming Heaven directly into their skulls.

      I KNEW IT

The first time I saw his eyes I was like "this guy is wearing eye liner or something. No one's eyes are like that naturally."

I don't really care, but it's objectively funny all the Republican "real tough guys" worship the flannel wearing, bearded lumberjack aesthetic meanwhile the guys they uphold are getting fresh spray tans weekly and putting on mascara in the car while telling secret service to watch the bumps

He should go all in and draw the little wing tips on the ends. That shit takes practice.
